Apiary site surveying
It is important for any beekeeper to do site surveying before setting up an apiary, we offer this service to beekeeper who wish to start beekeeping by locating the most ideal place to site bees for a better productivity.

We have noted many cases from bee keepers of colony absconding and migrations due to poor apiary siting evaluations, this has necessitated Beecare apiaries to offer apiary site evaluation services to bee keepers with lower skills on apiary siting. It is important to consider ideal conditions for bee keeping before placing hives; our trained staff gathers all the necessary data for evaluation and considerations for every bee keeper who need this service. With all integral amenities and proper management practices available, bee keepers will maintain strong colonies for long period of time without frequent absconding and migrations.

Bees for pollination

Pollination is an important step in the reproduction of the seed plants, the study of pollination brings together many disciplines such as botany, horticulture, entomology and ecology. Pollination is important in agriculture because most plant fruits will not develop if the ovules are not fertilized. Bees travel from flower to flower collecting nectar which is later converted to honey and pollen grains for proteins important on bee nutrition, as bees fly from flower to flower they deposit pollen into receptive stigma of the flowers.

Our bees are ready to be transported to major estate farms for pollination such as coffee, citrus, apples, macadamias, avocado, Mangoes, watermelons, tangerines, cucumber, plums, broccoli, cherry blueberry etc, we offer bees to commercial large scale farms for pollination at a fair price, bees will pollinate crops deliberately as they gather pollen to meet their nutritional needs of their brood. We bring bees on order to farms during blossom period, study shows that insect pollination improves plant yields by 20%.

Bee House & Shedding
Beecare Apiaries has come up with new concept of housing bees , Bee houses prevents the apiary from intruders like the notorious honey badger, high temperature, bush fires, human conflicts, pets etc. We construct housed /shaded apiaries of different sizes depending on the number of bee hives to be placed, however we advise the bee keepers accordingly to avoid overcrowding. We also specialize on setting up of open field apiaries to those with large pieces of land likely more than 5 acreage

Education & Bee Keeping Training
Beecare apiary is committed to beekeeping skills development. Basic beekeeping training is offered to organized groups, SBOs and individual beekeepers who want to increase their knowledge in beekeeping.

We offer both basic theoretical training on bee keeping and on site practical demonstration to bee keepers mainly to members of Beecare apiculture development program (Badep) and those who advocate protecting the honey bee species to tap the valued apiculture resource which has remained underutilized for decades by use of modern technology available today. Hive Inspection Services

Routine management of apiaries is vital to bee keepers, honey bee colonies should be inspected at least once every month to know your bees well and understand the problems affecting productivity. We offer this service to bee keepers as well as honey harvesting at fair price to suit your pocket; we however highly recommend training of bee keepers to do it for themselves rather than paying for these services which may turn expensive on the long run.

More services on bee keeping are available from BCAI on request at a minimum costs.
